Fabia vRS rear anti-roll bar

Featured Replies

Dangerous this interweb thing. Whilst browsing for types I found something about fitting an arb. I have a standard vRS, which will be staying that way at least for the foreseeable, but wonder whether this mod is worth it? My right foot occasionally gets heavy round corners and quiet roundabouts but nothing serious. Looks easy enough to do. If it's a yes, is the Jabbasport 23 mm one worth the extra over the Awesome 19mm version? Or any other versions you know about? Cheers, Stewart

A rear anti roll bar stiffens up the rear end which helps turn in. Also changes the balance to what I find more neutral with also more easy throttle adjustability. This is only from my experience of the jabber rarb. Hope it helps.

I have a whiteline rear ARB on my fabia this is from Awesome. I have found that it is fantastic.

the ARB simpily does what it says on the tin. it doesnt change the comfort of the drive, it just reduces the rolling of the car when it is pushed around a corner. this then makes it a much more pleasent feel, and in turn gives the car more grip as it tries to maintain a constant weight on all 4 tyres.

one note is that I was told the whiteline products can suffer from rusting, plus the origional colour is silver which I wasnt to fussed about, so when we got ours we painted it black problem solved

plus this is a really easy fit and can be done with no knowledge of mechanics within an hour.

hope this all makes sense

Steve.

Hi

No .rust issues at all now with the Whiteline ones , and have not for a long long time

But then mine was one of the first batch in to the country , and I have not had an issue at all :D

Just lots of big grins along the way :D

If you sell the bar before the car goes Sarah I want first dibs..lol

Fancy one myself.

There's currently a group buy for Whiteline RARBs in the group buy section. 15% off retail.

Jabba, Jabba, Jabba, Jabba, Jabba, Jabba, Jabba, Jabba, Jabba, Jabba, Jabba, Jabba, Jabba, Jabba, Jabba, Jabba, Jabba, Jabba, Jabba, Jabba, Jabba, Jabba, Jabba, Jabba, Jabba, Jabba, Jabba, Jabba, Jabba, Jabba, Jabba, Jabba, Jabba, Jabba, Jabba, FTW!!!!!

What sort of money we are talking about to purchase a rear Anti-Roll-Bar with VAT and possible postage costs,please.????emoticon-0105-wink.gif

Jabbasport one: £225 + postage

Whiteline one (adjustable) £139 + postage.

Both swear by them being great, so I can't justify the extra £100 for a green one. Plus I like the idea of adjusting it.

Matt

Buy one, Fit it & go round a familiar roundabout! You'll not be disappointedemoticon-0148-yes.gif

I could not waaranmt the price difference myself , being a tight Yorkshire bird

But I am megga megga impressed with the Whiteline one

I have to ask the guy who`s fingers got stuck in the Jabba word , Have you tried the Whiteline one?

As I am sure both are great

I have not tried the Jabba one , only Whiteline , and I am sure they will give the same results

You see Whiteline are adjustable , but Jabba`s are not

But the Jabba one is slightly thicker , so I would have thought that one would cancell the other out

I have had mine fitted for years , no issues , and still love it

My son has the same car , but withlout ARB , and he , and me can tell a huge difference with and without

Just out of interest, is anyone else interested in doing a group buy?

mine's red :)

I only had a Jabba one cos I was there having the car remapped anyways so got them to put the RARB on afterwards.

Roudabout is a good test of them - I had a conversation with Yegnold and his tet was to go as fast as possible round a large round about until it lost grip.

Results were something like 45mph before, 60mph afterwards

As Sarah says though i would imagine that the Whiteline one does exactly the same thing 99% as well as the Jabba one and is adjustable to boot, although why you'd do anything but stick it on it's stiffest setting I don't know! :)

I gotta get myself one of these too. Nearly bought a Seat strut brace this month but think the rarb will be money better spent.

:( although I am a girl and have it on the medium setting , never did do the stiffest setting , dont know why LOL

The strut brace sharpens the steering a tad! And looks pretty when you open the bonnet! The roll bar is in a whole different league! It's one of those can't not haves!

if the white line one is adjustable isnt the bit you can adjust not a weak point for failure? isnt the thicker jabba one not gona be stronger? why would you want to adjust it anyway?
