Boost Gauge Hose & T Piece

Featured Replies

After having the gauge in the garage for ages Ive decided to finally fit it.

Have found some great pics, thanks Rob, on where to fit it but what size tube do I use?

I do remember someone saying that they used a washer t piece from halfords.

Ive noticed that some have used cable ties to hold on the pipe, is this ok?

Does the tube go direct into the gauge, its a new south one I have.

Thanks

Halfords sell a plastic T-piece which should be the right size.

Whether or not you plug the hose straight into the gauge depends whether it's a digital gauge or not. The digital ones have a sender which you have to wire up to a power source and mount somewhere in the engine bay, the hose plugs into the sender then the sender sends an electrical signal to the actual gauge to give you the reading.

5 meter's will do.

and yes it goes from the T-piece straight into the gauge, if its mechanical.

was going to ask about this today as well

sweet :)

Just knocked myself up a little boost leak kit, just need to find the offending pipe and then keep an eye on boost levels

Anyone know what is the safetest PSI to pressurise the pipes with? (i know you have to remove oil cap and plug puck valve)
