Couple Problems & I'd like some Help please

Featured Replies

hi guys,

don't come on here as much as id like due to being very busy, and i'm fairly new but would like some advice if you don't mind

have a couple issues with my octavia vrs(03 plate)

1. front speakers don't work, and when you fiddle around with the settings, ie, all sound to front, it goes to the back speakers?

2. i have a really annoying noise coming from the back wheels so it seems when i'm driving, like a droning noise? both rear springs are new, no stones in tyres, tyres have good tread.

Any help/advice be great.....carl

could be wheel bearings, but still could be tyre noise even though the tread is good, try swapping front to rear see if the noise moves

+1 with TrevorB33 for (2), as for (1) does your car have the standard Octy head unit, or has it been replaced with something else?

What tyres are they? If they are Linglongs, that's your answer. My mum's car has them on and they drone big time. If not, could be a bearing.

Swapped tyres no change so will get bearings looked at.

Tyres are continental so are a good decent make

Head unit is the standard factory fitted one

thanks guys..

Plus one for Rear wheel bearings too.

You head unit may be on it's way out as the amp in it could be causing front / rear fader problems, or could be poor speaker connection the the rear of the head unit. They come out reasonably easy if you have the keys..
