  • any benefits other than preventing the oe pipes from popping off? and looking pretty...

  • nope just gets rid of the STUPID clips, gives you under bonnet bling and something else to polish....................... I mean adds 50bhp and 35lb/torque, can make the car outrun jet fighters plus

  • Will get a price asap guys

The stainless pipe allows you to get rid of the stupid plastic collars that pop or leak under pressue. The collars on the rubber pipes are cut off, allowing the pipe to go inside them. The bead stops the clips slipping off.

Thats just stupid, a clean car goes fast due to less weight.............it because you've filled in all the tiny imperfections on the paintwork, giving a smoother more areodynamic surface     :D :D :D

So what do we get for £50?

So what do we get for £50?

well, you could get 50 x £1 lucky bags, 2 x £25 fill up's at the fuel station, 1x£50 fill up at the fuel station, 1x£49 fill up at the fuel station + a special offer red bull at £1....errrmmmm a tyre worth £50? struggling now...

pipe no good for me if it throws up codes... didn't realise it did

A smile if you take my pay pal address

Will installation of the Stainless pipe not improve cooling of air through this pipe?

Not Amazinglly but will assist with the cooling proccess........

Because the air has already cooled off in the Intercooler, it is then paassing through a metal pipe at low tempreture, which is cooling the metal off, so the 'Next lot' of air that passes through this pipe will then gain the extra coolness off the metal pipe..... to go to the extreme you could run a cold feed from the girll (sp) to that pipe so there is Cold air forced over the pip to cool it off???? :)

In theory that is............

I have a VRS Dovit pipe and a Jabba EGR delete with silicone hosing joining it together - if you track your car the stainless pipe gets incredibly hot and is too hot to touch, I've had to shield mine in heat wrap!

On the plus side, I've not had one pipe pop off yet and it does look good!

John

So what do we get for £50?

The Stainless steel boost pipe, posted and help if you need it to fit.

Doesn't throw up ANY fault codes as it's NOT the egr pipe, its a BOOST PIPE

cheers

So it is just the pipe from the 90* bend coming from the EGR down, bent 90* and down a bit to fit to the existing pipework?

Any cheaper without the boost nipple?

Its the silver pipe on the pictures. No boost nipple.

pipe with the red line on it. DIRECTLY replaces the plastic boost pipe that sits at the side of the engine, running down to your IC and up to the EGR. NO rubber hoses supplied with the pipe, but you can get them from ebay. I cut the metal collars off the existing rubber pipes, but then aquired a Samco hose for the EGR delete pipe

HTH

i cant see it theres a big red line in the way :giggle:

:punch: :moon:

And pixie dust :giggle:

Thats why some ppls pop off cos they forget the all important pixie dust :smirk:

I got my silicone hosing from these guys http://www.autosiliconehoses.com/ and remember it being a bit cheaper than samco hosing. I've had the elbows on my car now for just over a year and it still looks pretty fresh...and red!

John

so technically I could run everything thats under the bonnet already and just replace the plastic pipe for the stainless one? no need to remove any vac pipes ect? just cut the metal collars for joining?

1st i used 2 jubilee clips (saftey overkill lol) I then replaced them for mikalor clamps

Yup :D

as there is no vac pipes etc connected to the plastic pipe, you wont have to add or block anything off.

Easy as cutting the collars, fitting and securing  job done :D

I can't believe this has been so long coming. I've had more ally intercooler piping in my engine bay since mid 2005 :D
