Clicking Climate - what's the fix

Featured Replies

I see it mentioned on the ever useful Octavia vRS site here, but the info isn't mega helpful. I'm just wondering exactly what is changed by the dealer?

"Climatronic Clicking: A clicking noise can be heard from the Climatronic system, normally when the heating is cold. A simple adjustment with the dealer diagnostic system can cure this."

Cheers,

Steve

Mine does this and I asked at the dealer. Basically they recalibrate it but it is by no means a permanant fix. It can return after being done. I have just put up and accepted it as a quirk of the car.

Common across the VAG range. My previous VW did this. VAG quirk, not just Skoda/Octavia/VRS related. I can live with it, esp if the recalibration is only a temporary fix

Yep, thanks guys. My initial feeling was that it was some sort of recalibration/reset, otherwise Stu would have included some more information about it I'm sure.

I was then wondering if it's a reset that's possible via VCDS.

I can live with it by all means; it was just if there was a fix then I'd have done it

Cheers,

Steve
