I don't find the tyre noise too bad to be honest apart from on concrete roads. M20 is the worst of these as it makes the Octy sound like it has a couple of Rolls Royce Merlin engines in the back.

As Andy says, only that bloody awful concrete causes me any problems.

If you're on decent tarmac it's nice & quiet...decent tyres help though.

Yeah, concrete roads are bad in all cars, I think. My current one is b' awful above 50 on most roads.

Two work mates of mine (one has an evo 8 and the other has an Impreza WRX) both cannot belive how quiet and smooth my Octy is!

Another nice thing on the motorway is that the turbo always seems ready and willing to push you forward, with just a hint of throttle
