cheap crap

very small why not lookout for a second hand seat sport intercooler or a sprinter intercooler

those ebay ones are cheap for a reason there terrible not even flow tested and have a lesser cooling capicity than your oem sidemount

I dont see what the difference in quality is? its a very simple product, the welds are pretty important, but surely if this company had a lot of returns they would have a shocking rating?

Personally I would go for it. Seat sport and Forge etc charge you a premium as you're buying the name, and the reassurance behind it.

My recent FMIC thread showed me mouting a custom FMIC (which a friend of a friend makes). The product is smaller than the one linked here (to keep lag down), i have no flow issues what so ever. IMO (again) you will get better flow from an IC where the inlet/outlet are on opposite sides.

I dont see how you could possibly think that a cooler mounted on the front of the car, that is bigger, could possibly provide less or equivelant cooling than the tiny concealed side mount?

for me its simple

Pro's of a seat sport/forge kit : its made to fit therefore requires less custom work, you have the brand name and the quality backing behind it.

Cons: its expensive and doesnt make as much of a difference performance wise as is made out (although I dont have the temp sheets to prove this), I also think the coolers are rather large which will cause more lag as well as quite a large portion of the cooler is covered by the crash bar?

Pros of a custom setup: it will nearly always work out cheaper - if it doesnt someone had your pants down somewhere along the lines

Cons: theres no brand names, and usually requires a certain amount of bespoke work.
