I have just replaced four locking nuts with plain ones and now I need four covers that fit. I don't want to buy 20 off ebay and so I thought I would drop a post here and see if anyone has a few spare?

Well you can thank National Tyres for misplacing my locking head! Four plain bolts was the most economical option and I don't think that theft of wheels is really that common.

Locking wheel nuts don't make much difference anyway, if someone wants your wheels that badly, they WILL get them.

Took me less than 10 minutes to remove 4 locking nuts on my old car when my GF lost the key.

Firstly, if it was me I'd be on at the tyre fitter for a replacement set.

Emailing their head office if necessary, they have to put your car back how they found it.

National Tyres are a big enough organisation to suffer the loss of 20 odd quid for a new set.

As for the nut covers, as far as I can tell they are the same as the ones I used to have on my

MK3 Golf so surely a standard VAG part. I'd imagine the main dealer would be the best place

to get some of these. In my experience, little piddly parts like that are often pennies from

the main dealer.

Have a look at the part number on one of the ones you already have and ring your

local dealer for a price. You may be surprised at the price.:yes:

I'd rather have plain nuts on and the car not get wrecked by some pikey smashing the lock nut off ! If they want them they will take them regardless

Unfortunately none of my local dealers keep that part in stock or could suggest an alternative. The ones on eBay are designed for 17mm bolts, is that the Fabia vRS size?
