Ha !...doesnt that sound familiar - I too am waiting (15 weeks now) for a build date from James, and am awaiting the outcome of a terse email to Skoda UK concerning the complete lack of communication over the delay in having a build date assigned, and I am expecting bad news tomorrow when I get the outcome !!!

Dont know when/what options you ordered but I am fast getting to a point beyond which I wont go. I can put up with delays as long as there is some explanation of why and what they are trying to do, but I cannot stomach paying over £22000 for the privilage of being ignored !! Its just not good enough so I hope you wait less than me and good luck.

I've ordered a 140 DSG Elegance with rough road, park assist, TPM, heated windscreen & spare wheel.

Hopefully nothing too taxing for them to make. A sunroof would be great, but I'm not prepared to wait indefinitely.

I do want electric memory drivers seat and the trim in alacantra though....sadly Skoda UK won't let me order it.

Maybe I should cancel my order with James and order one from Eire instead.

I did think about it, but my L&K had ivory leather and it was a pain to keep clean and looking good, so decided on black for a change. I know the Gobi is darker than the ivory. Previously I had light grey leather in my 5 series tourings.

One day I will be similarly excited. Gary at Hobins is remaining true to his word and is ringing me every Monday with an update as to what is happening to my SM. Still week 39 at the moment, so sometime in October hopefully.

God it must be really frustrating not to have a build date, as a newbie still a tad puzzled as to why some people get one straight away (I did, more or less) and some don't. I know certain options on a build cause issues but it doesn't seem consistent. Do some dealers have batch allocations - what I mean is do they have a certain amount of Yetis (whatever the spec) guaranteed for a particular time?

Dunno, im bewildered by it at the moment - just because I ordered a car with a hole cut out the roof I am being made to feel like some kind of leper who is just chucked in the corner and forgot about in the hope I will go away ! "Oh sunroof ?.....oh make them wait at the back of the queue !" is exactly what it feels like. I have been promised some news today so I will wait and see what transpires before I decide what to do next.

I only ordered a virtually bog standard 2.0l 140bhp TDI 4x4 SE with the "challenging" extras of rubber mats and a spare wheel at the beginning of July and have been given an ETA of October 4th.

You would have thought there would have been a car somewhere already made with that spec wouldnt you ?? You only have to look on ebay to see some of the different spec cars just sitting around on dealers forecourts.

Actually, I do and have changed my order, so Cappuccino Beige with Gobi Sand interior.

I also have a provisional build date now of week 42

I'm just as frustrated and dissapointed as you are about the delay on the car. It isn't coming through slowly because you've ordered a sunroof and they have put you to the back of the pack it's just that they've only got the ability to make X Yetis with sunroofs a week and the number of orders vastly exceeds X so they are building all the Yetis that where ordered with pano-roofs prior to you ordering yours and then eventually they build will catch up with the last few ordered with the roof option.

At least you finally have a build week, albeit a distant one....

I shall raise your unhappy forum smiley with a sad panda.
