options on new vrs

Featured Replies

Like the look of the new vrs but the website doesn't show option availability. Does anyone have a list of options and prices please?

Thanks.

on the skoda uk website go to the fabia section, select 'facts and figures' then 'standard and optional features' and select vRS as the trim level.

the prices for the options I have are:-

met paint 410

dark chrome wheels 100

steering wheel with controls 150

bluetooth 220

cruise control 160

Thats from my invoice so the only ones I know.

Options prices are on skoda.co.uk but not under the vrs. Spec up a standard hatch or estate and you will be able to see the vrs as an engine option and from there you can add the optional extras

you can also do this on www.parkers.co.uk when you look through the review of the vrs on there, there is a page where you can add optional extras and it lists all the prices

Thanks for those points. I'll re check the website. Not planning to buy one immediately but it does no harm to look ;)

I would like to get one but why are they doing it with the DSG gearbox as the only option?. Octavia has both DSG amd 6 speed manual and the 1.4 TSI is offered else where in the range with the six speed manual. Why not with the Fabia VRS. Its a show stopper for me.

None of the other cars fitted with the 180PS engine have a manual box either (Polo GTI, Ibiza Cupra/Boc) The only one that comes close is the 160PS enigne is offered with a manual in the golf. The TSI in the octavia is only 122PS

Salesmaen say it has to have a DSG to handle the torque. This is a load of balls as the Mk1 Fabia has much more. 184lbft in the Mk2 vs 230 lbft of the Mk1. The problem with the 7 speed DSG is 250 NM (184 lbft) is the limit of the gearbox. I'm sure it's because a manual box will not fit, even though it's a 1.4l engine not 1.9.

A Mk1 Fabia vRS has to have a manual box, because a DSG will not handle the torque. :p

Not strictly true.

My Octy has a 6 speed DSG to handle the torque of the diesel...

..this means that Skoda could have fitted a diesel in the vRS if they wanted to...but VW are the bosses!!

6-speed DSG and 7-speed DSG are two different things!

Thanks to all those who replied to this.

I was looking at the possibility of upgrading my wifes Fabia II to a vrs, but it looks like I'll be changing my car first.

Considering a Yeti or Superb estate (4x4). Like the look of the vrs but it's sidelined for a while due to the above.
