Is It possible

Featured Replies

Right, I been sat here pondering over Christmas (as you do) and I have had a thought

my car id fitted with reversing sensors

now as you know, I pull a caravan, what I want to know is....

Is it possible to fit skoda reversing sensors (not sure of price of em tho) to my caravan, and run them through the plug iinto the existing sensors, so that when they are plugged in, the ones in the car bumper are disabled, and the ones I will fit to back of carvan are enabled

Im thinking it may need a relay, or some other elctric trickery to make this work

anyone any ideas or suggestions, or even some sort of digaram t omake it work ???

There are several companies that do after market reversing sensors that will be cheaper than Skoda ones.

I would also guess that this has probably already been done, have you tried trawling the caravan club type of sites

Factory fitted reversing sensors are disabled when the trailer socket is used, so an after market caravan fitted option would be best (perhaps those number plate mounted type with extra cable run through)

Are they a factory fit or dealer fitted, because fatcory fitted should cut out all together when trailer wired in...put it this way, mine do .
