Trackdays

Featured Replies

Hello,

What is the best way to get into the wonderfull world of trackdays?

I have never been on a track un-aided before (went round silverstone in an Elise but thats different) and would really like to start coming to some briskoda trackdays.

Would it be best to take some lesson's first (if there is such a thing) or can anyone recommend some fairly quiet tracks to practise on?

Any suggestions welcome

cheers :)

Find a track day that's running sessions as opposed to open pit lane.

Get in the Novice / Beginner (or whatever) session, and pay a bit extra for some instructor laps. :)

If you can contain yourself wait for one of our get togethers, it will be worth the wait. Then you can gets some passenger laps or have someone sit with you that understands your car's limits and the track.

Keep an eye on the events/meets forum.

When is the next get together then????

Going to my first trackday at Knockhill circuit in Fife, mid March 2004. It was organised by a guy on here with some of the other VAG groups on the web - should be good, might still be places left if your interested, do a search on knockhill.

Its intended for first-timers, and instruction will be provided.

I believe the M25 @ 3 a.m. is not a bad track
