Guys, what arethe thoughts on this idea?

my brothergot the furbie now and weve been thinking a rim change

i had the idea of 8x17s et 35

so:

1: would this be fine or cause any probs? ( its on weitec springs at mo )

2: if anyone has got 8j rims what size tyre are you using?

( stretch the 205/40/17s i say )

Mine is on coilovers and on 17†8 whit 205/40/17 just a nice stretch

First had et 35 now et 33

Et 35 al little rubbing et 33 a bit more

The reason off rubbing a little

lol its rubbing cos the dam arches are dijesting your rims bud very cool get up in there you lil toads lol how have you not fudged the sump lol crazy fool

So would you say if sat abit higher it would be fine? and any issues on the inner side?

I am going 8J x 17 on my track wheels soon. I am hoping for no arch fouling

Also going to use 215/40 17 to keep stretch to a minimum and keep some sidewall protection - although that shouldn't be an issue on track, I may use them on the road sometimes.

i reken it will be fine , the springs are only going to be 30mm max

nowhere near that drop lol and sticking with his 205s too very cool

my mate got 195s on 8j ATS cups and they arnt crazy stretched either so its a good plan b lol :yes:

8x17's with 205/40/17's et35 with a 55mm drop:-

No scrubbing - no issues! Even on full lock! Wheels are one off Comp TH's!
