Porsche wheels

Featured Replies

Hi just a few quetions I've got. Will 205/40/17 tyres fit over 9" rims? Also will they fit a fabia? Rears are et15 and front are 7.5" et 23 will I have problems fitting these? I know I need spacers.

Thanks in advance

Based on your stock wheel setup, your new wheel will have:

13mm LESS clearance on the strut side, and the outside edge of the wheel will EXTEND an extra 51mm - for the rears (without adaptors)

2mm LESS clearance on the strut side, and the outside edge of the wheel will EXTEND an extra 24mm - for the fronts (without adaptors)

So no.. :p

if going for porsche wheels you should get 20mm adaptors, or 25mm at most, anything bigger will result in arch damage.

if going for 9" wide then you will more than likely get problems anyway

i have 8J rear D90's with 25mm adaptor and 205/45 R16 tyres, they clear the arches, i have no idea what the ET's are on those wheels.

to answer your question tho, that size should fit on the 9" wheel, will have a bit of a stretch tho but i've seen a 165 tyre fitted on an 8" rim before, it looked dangerous lol

Think I will just hold out for 8" rears then

Doesnt matter about the width if the et is stupid though. Are you sure that they are the offsets? Porsche alloys are normally high offsets. The twists your talking about, i had a set and they fit, but the origional offset was something like 55, and with 20mm adaptors came down to et35.

My new wheels are 8.5j et41, with 20mm adapters will take it to et21 and thy should be spot on. But before i buy adaptors i will measure correctly and do the math.
