this morning i was greeted by this:

Something silver has most definitely manouvered into the rear 3/4 of my car :@

WTF is wrong with people? Now i do understand that accidents happen but at least have the decency to leave a note apologising!!

Anything would have been nice!!

Scape is at least 6 inches long and enough force was applied to transfer my red paint off of my rear bumper and expose the white plastic beneath

and move it onto the tyre further along the car

I'll admit to the odd parking touch on occasion (parrell and bumper to bumber with no damage) but never have i thought "oh i've hit that there - I better reverse another 6 inches just to make sure!"

It's either happened in a town centre car park last night while I was in the cinema (was dark when i got out so not sure) or in the car park or my house (which doubles as public car park for the local church and community centre) which was this morning hosting it's weekly Alcoholics Anonymous meeting. Coincidence? :wall:

It's cleaned up "ok" with just water with most of the silver coming off, the main scapre will need something more abrasive to polish out but should come off,

the crease in the panel though is much more frustrating

Proper gutted as until this point for an 04 plate my car has had good body work! GRRR!

So to cheer myself up i popped to my local Skoda dealer and took their brand new in this week mk2 Fabia VRS for a spinB)

The same happened to mine a couple of years ago except without the dent !

No note left or nothing, I seen the van that did it but not actually doing the damge !!!

Some people are unbelievable!

Really gutted for you mate and hope it doesn't cost too much to sort out.

I know just how you feel after having a similar experience in a car park......

Door and rear wing trashed and the Police would not even look at the CCTV recording :(

Happened to me too a while back. Came back to the rear bumper hanging off on one side. So very annoying.

******s!

Might be worth dropping the arch liner out and seeing if that will pop out?

First I shall say bstards and some generic hate comment about people not caring about other people's property.

Maybe try something like

hair dryer and compressed air

Makes you wonder what goes through peoples mind when they do something like that then just drive off.

Know how you feel though, got a large dent in my sill from someone doing something similar - never gonna get it out either. Not nice to have some lowlife damage your pride and joy and just leave it for you to fix.

Just so I'm in the clear. It wasn't me :giggle:

Seems like you are having the same issue I had with my red fabia vRS.

The aerial was snapped off.

It was then hit on the rear left.

The final straw was when the boot, drivers door and passanger door was keyed.

The funny part is I live in Swindon and none of the damage was done here. I just deemed it as bad luck - Sold the car and moved on.

Sorry to hear mate. Its gutting and theres nothing you can do.

A few years back I rubbed down the side of a parked jag in a car park. I waited for the bloke to get back and left him my details . We went through insurance. He was over the moon.
