gps on mobile fone

Featured Replies

hi all ,

thought i would clue you guys in on a new tech product i bought fairly recently (3 months) ,its a full fledged gps system on a mobile fone (symbian series) . it comes with a blue tooth module and all the maps req ex.GBI(great britain and ireland) on a sd card that you can put into your cell fone .

its very very simple and all you need to do is turn it on and off you go no subscription no other bs . its fairly accurate and it keeps you on the straight and narrow .

its other features are that you can live update the traffic information for you r route and atumatically configure it for rerouting and it also shows you the direction and speed of travel very accurately

the only drawbacks are that very rarely it will ask you to take an exit and then guide you back onto the motorway!!! thats happened only about two times to me in the past i think there is a fix for this on the vendors website and can be downloaded for free or they have updated the software for it already .

the cell fone does not come with the package and has to be bought separtely . ithink that this not a problem as any no of cell fone service providers willing to throw the cell at you for free .

any way here is the website if your intrested any one wanting more advice can contact me on this forum or on my email.

not only for the smartfone but also for the symbian fones as well manyo

cost about the same but 66 is slightly better for navigation and integration

Sounds good, price is no bad either, the going off / on motorway slip roads thing is something I've seen before on the VDO and CoPilot and MS Autoroute. It must be confusing as it knows the slip road is still a 70mph zone, so if its a shorter route to use the slip road then it will.

I just got me a wee pressie of the CoPilot Navigation system for Windows SmartPhones. I've been out playing, trying to get lost and its been keeping me right, seems to work really well!

I've used a CoPilot system before for a PDA so went with them again, as I know there good at updates. I had considered the TomTom system for Windows Smartphones but but it comes on a full size SD card, which is not compatible with newer SmartPhones which only take the mini-SD card. Apparently moving the data from SD card to mini-SD won't work.

The CoPilot system can be had for
