Everyone seems to say to get a forge, but I saved myself over £25 and got a comp brake one for £45 off eBay and I find it just right

I got the007p from Awesome. £65 iirc

Wont notice much of a noise differance though

i got a second hand bailey DV30 for £33 off ebay and all seems good.

Guess it depends why you are looking. Is the standard one duff, or you fancy a change or something louder. The 1.8 turbo VAG group cars all use a recirc DV and so the noise will not be much different no matter what you get. And there is no performance gain in these. So if your car is running ok then probably leave as is.

You only start to need replacing these when they either play up or you want a better quality one to deal with a remapped car.
