This is NOT good news for people like me.

I ordered a diamond silver CR VRS Estate with DSG and a few other goodies on 26 June. I was advised that delivery would be early October.

I know there are delays but was optimistic that I would get it late October.

Called into the dealer today. CAR WILL NOT BE BUILT UNTIL MID DECEMBER.

Delivery likely to be LATE JANUARY 2011. That looks like 7 months from order to delivery.

Sob Sob Sob!

Just chased mine aswell, order went on the system June 23rd, build week of 41 with estimated delivery beginning of November. Suits me well as i am away for three months in October.

Perhaps if you are going somewhere nice..........................would you think about taking me and the wife with you. We wouldn't be too much trouble. We would come back to a new car then!

Off to Tucson, Arizona to get married. Future wife is from there hence the random place. Sorry no room at the Inn.

Ordered my one on 5th May

Original build week was week26.

This was put back to week 38

then forward to week 35

Dealer told me yesterday that it would be coming off the production line today

Hopefully get the 4th September boat ( Saturday

Triple yee-ikes!! That's bad news, man. I ordered mine a week before you and was (optimistically) hoping for late September which is what the dealer told me. Now I've been told mid-November but after reading your post it looks like I may be disappointed again. :'( :'( :'( :'(

My dad ordered his Oct VRS in white (diesel) when i picked up my FL Fabia on May 13th. Arrived at the dealer on Monday and gets picked up tomorrow

Mine was ordered on 19 May .... was due to be delivered and ready for collection tomorrow.

As off Friday it was on a boat .... looking like its going to be a week to ten days late. I can live with that but would have preferred to have it tomorrow obviously!

Speaking to the sales guy when I ordered my hatch the other day, he told me that skoda are only able to produce low numbers of estate vRS's at the moment for some unknown reason so delivery can take a lot longer than the hatchback.

ordered 15th may, at dealers Tuesday last week. Collecting 4th Sept.

Worth the wait? I think (hope) so.

Helped that I am driving a vRS right now to tide me over haha

7months is crazy tho. Id keep an eye out for a stock car

Looks like these are in high demand - that's some waiting time for a regular production vehicle!

Surely if the wait times are so long, the price will go up as well - not for those ordered - but for any new customers. Supply and demand!

This is the one i test drove, at the time they were talking about putting it up for sale around 19k so it was a no brainer for me to buy a new one with the options i wanted.

I don't believe for one minute it's due solely to demand, if it was skoda would have not had their summer shutdown. they want this level of backlog for some reason, probably financial. It will keep the factory busy for a bit after they've put trite prices back up, then maybe another offer in 6 months when they have no more orders.
