Plenty of water, thats it really. Some people, on lesser forums, will try telling you a full English, or a bacon butty with plenty HP, would sort it, but they're just having you on.

Double LOL. This may seem a bit of a newb question but I really know nothing about the methanol side of things, but whats the benefit to this instead of say running an LPG mix or even just running NOS?

i think we both know the answer to that one

turbo's and clutches struggle at 130bhp lol

Whilst in some cars the clutches and turbos will be just fine with an increase, it is pretty much a rule of thumb that if you're touching the power on a Fabia VRS then spend money wisely and do the clutch too. The turbo will need replaced if you want to chase numbers past 180BHP. Its not worth risking the clutch going on you, it will slip in low revs if you boot it, quite soon after you up the power. A merit of owning a car like a diesel Skoda is the reliability and hardyness of the engine and gubbins. It would really be counter intuitive to forfeit those merits for the addition of power, all IMHO of course. So, replace the clutch and all and you get the power and keep your surefire reliability. I say surefire as i know people do run remaps with the standard clutch for ages :p

Methanol injection is just a more efficient, effective and arguably dangerous (its nasty stuff if handled incorrectly) alternative to water injection. The purpose is to cool the combustion chamber, the addition of methanol to the fuel-air mixture allows for greater combustion ratios. Like most things the addition of water/methanol injection will only reap proper benefits if you've done other things too. So, whilst it might yield a 10BHP increase with a standard set-up and remap, it will maybe give you 25-30 with a good map and other things, like bigger turbos or whatever. Its a nice addition if you're really wanting big performance, but perhaps not quite as worth while if you're not really wanting everything out the car.

Nitrous Oxide is far more dangerous if your install is crap and its more expensive. Methanol/Water mixture is much cheaper to inject into your engine - i guess you could run it far more frequently without reaching into the wallet as often.

I have heard Rally drivers using CocaCola to stop clutch slip.
