UK Road Tunnels

Featured Replies

The Manchester Airport tunnels are good - I used to love the sound of my Primera in there. It's a 50mph limit though and there have been several nasty smashes (including a very high profile one) where others have been trying to 'generate too much noise'.

I usually de-tour for a lap of the manc airport tunnels on my way to the stretton fox meet.. would be rude not to emoticon-0136-giggle.gif

Well they missed one!

The dartford river crossing going northbound through the tunnels. 40 limit but 2nd gear should generate some noise :giggle:

It foxed the Columbus completely. V7 maps don't know it's there at all.

Why they bother with the Saltash tunnel just outside Plymouth I don't know! It's a bloody 30mph speed limit....

The one that goes under Leeds /Bradford airport is good, when I had my Le mans without the silencer`s on was way loud!

Just remember the SPECs cameras at each end, so stick to the limits shown or that nice roar will cost you £60 + POL + Increased insurance.

Good to see the Hatfield tunnel (goes under the Galleria shopping centre) on there. My old Golf GTi used to make a lovely rumble going through there.
