Oh Jeezus!

yeah my thoughts exactly

chav me up wiv some fake cf!

i think some subtle bits are ok but this is a bit over the top in my opinion.

Fabla the gear stick surround and ash tray are indeed one unit, just take the middle of the ash trayout and remove the middle screw, pull the gearchange gator up and out then lever the gear lever surround out.

As for what to use the carbon fiber on :-

In other words everything you can, makes the drab interior look alot better

The inside of the one above looks more suited to a chaved up corsa IMO. The smaller bits that are more subtle look ok, but I don't like the cover everything in it look

Matt

Each to his own :giggle:

Looks like the younger generation is not keen on carbon fiber trim

I got to admit that I was not fussy on it myself when I first did it but its grown on me

Now whenever I am in a standard car it seem boring and bland

Anyway thanks for your opinions

Real carbon wrapping looks good, the fake stuff doesn't really cut it imo

I too have done the gear surround and ash tray and was thinking of doing some part of the centre dash, but looking at yours I think it's abit too much to be honest, with carbon you want it too look apart of the dash not stand out.

I would recommend people use the Di-NOC DP900N primer on areas with alot of bends on them, i've noticed a few times the film bends back over time, this stuff prevents this from occuring.

how hard is this stuff to use? and how much would it cost? does it look and feel tacky when applied? ive never seen it first hand. also korben how did you apply it to the air vent surrounds etc? does all of this remove easily or did you just apply it with them in place? and where can you get the crome dial surrounds?

thanks, jordan

Hi Jordan,

There are plenty of vids on youtube on how to apply this stuff, The airvents etc were all removed to apply the carbon film and as masterff pointed out it pays to use the di-noc primer. Both the di-noc film and primer are normally on ebay as are the chrome dial surrounds

Not quite the same as NOS but It does pull a lot better and also revs a bit higher if needed, Don't know what its putting out never been on a dyno but its most proberly not as good as a proper remap.

love carbon wrapping but some of those look a little too much,

exactly, it needs to look original not after market tat, and when your eyes are glued to the centre console you can see it doesnt look standard, If he had done the sides and the aircon controls it might of looked alright, but the whole middle looks OTT
