Saw 5 Yetis!

Featured Replies

For some strange reason I spotted 5 Yetis yesterday on a journey to Birmingham and back.

Normally I hardly see any and then I see 5 of them on the M40!

Only saw 2 60 plate cars one was a Honda CRV and the other a Fabia Scout.

I saw 5 Yetis over the course of last weekend, the most I've seen in a short time period. Normally, I may see one or, at the most two within two to three weeks.

Saw one to day over Cannock way. Almost missed it as no DRL's. Muscavado I think - I flashed but got nothing back :'(

You're doing better then me on the M40... I spend many hours going up and down between Oxford and Birmingham and in 9 months seen 1 on the road near Brackley.

I did see a silver SM near Abingdon the other day, was so shocked I forgot to wave :'(

7 this week but all at two local dealers :)

Visited my wife's new Fab FL in the compound today with mine that put five Monsters on site B) and spotted the other three earlier in the week at another local dealer who looks after my son's Furby I

I'm looking forward to hearing your first impressions of Mrs TP's Fabia TSI TP. I'm keen to try one with the TSI engine having been so impressed with it in the Yeti. I'll keep my eyes peeled on the Fabia II forum area........

We saw four Yetis driving up the A1 from Lobdon to the Lake District. Still here and not seen a single once since and only two 60 plate cars as well.

Hey TP, should we start an elite club The Yeti59ers? We who saw the light and had faith to order early before the rush (and lack of sunroofs) When the Yeti was just a baby.emoticon-0136-giggle.gif

I am pretty sure that Pat and Betty shared the same boat trip from Emden.

Great idea :giggle: Ordered my first one first week in August after havind a couple for trips in one of the CZ demos, this was around the same time as aerofurb ordered his but unfortunately he had to wait a while for the 170 motor.

The oldest Yeti's I know of on the forum are with Ray_Green (ex demo), Killy and Yonderend up in Scotland; I believe he has my first order which arrived without the requested off-road button. She was built on the 7th September (WK37/09) whereas PAT is my reorder and built 5 weeks later on the 14th October (WK42) Oh there was an other poster way way back with a very early dealer stock SE 140 but I think he only posted on a couple of occasions.

Regards,

TP

Note: UK production started in WK32/09

Since I seen the Yeti at the Briskoda national day I've not seen too many until I purchased our Fabia (might have been the fact that the salesman selling us the fabia was out on test drive in a yeti), since then I've seen at least 3!

That could well be mine - picked her up late September and have now clocked up 13,000 miles.

Seen a few around this way.

Well on our jaunt to Surrey and back we saw 1. A silver one pulling out of a parking space in the main street of Cricklade this afternoon.

Just had 3 Weeks in France and only saw 3! - 2 over there ( 1 Dutch registered and 1 French) and 1 on way home in UK - Shy beasts indeed. Can't wait for mine to arrive, but slightly nervous about the rumours circulating that the factory has suspended production of all models due to a supplier having a flood.Anyone else heard anything?

That was a few weeks ago and all three factories were only shut for four days. Do a search in the general car chat forum and you'll find the thread. I've phoned SUK as well and there has been no change to my build week.

I miss Aerofurb and his bright white monster. :(

He is still around, I think he's just very busy with work at the moment!

I saw my first yesterday (Sunday) at around 3pmish going north up the M40 around Banbury area. I was doing 70 and it went past like I was standing stil. It was a red one, I think 4x4 tdi on a 10 plate. First ever on road.

Whatever happened to Lady P? She seems to have driven off into the distance with her Yeti.......

She hasn't posted since 25th July - and I for one miss her... ... ... ... ...

Aqua Blue it is.

Very much enjoying the car, and I've had no major problems so far :)
