Cruise control retrofit

Featured Replies

Has anyone retrofitted cruise control to their Fabia? Mine didn't come with it and I miss it terribly from my previous car.

As far as I can tell, it should be a case of sourcing the stalk, fitting it, then enabling cruise using VAG-COM. Can someone confirm if this is correct?

Hi,

contacting Shark_90 would probably be your best bet as I understand besides maps he's also does spec upgrades such as cruise.

edit: My link

I looked in to this for my Greenline.

The part is £88 for the new stalk

There are apparently two types of fit depending on what software you computer has installed. A quick trip to the garage will confirm what you have

The expensive bit is the fitting. I dont know how true it is but they say a whole lot of the dashboard and trim has to come out to route the the wires to the ECU.

In all I was quoted about £380

I would consider it but I know that interiors never go back in well. Besides my right foot is getting used to the long cruise distances I have to do.

Seems a bit odd if they didnt put the wiring in if i'm honest, whats hhe point of CANBUS otherwise?

I never got a response from Shark Performance which is dissapointing, obviously don't want my business. Ill go talk to my local dealer where i bought it from and ask them about it and see what they say.

Fabia 2 still doesn't run full can bus much like the Fabia 1

Absolutely not the case, but if you emailed on the 4th as per your post, then I'm afraid I'm only up to 1st September in the backlog of emails after moving premises and then the flood that followed the day after. To say we're behind would be an understatement.

Every email is replied to by me personally and I'm afraid I could have done with another 6 pairs of hands over the last two weeks.

Ah my bad, I just contact so many companies (I do a lot of procurement for work) and regularly get ignored when requesting info via web submission forms and its rather frustrating.

I look forward to your response, and I hope you get back on track soon bud.
