ive had me vrs on order from 8th may, orginally told week 30 but when spoke to dealer last week it was being built last week so delivery now end sept/early october

while on holiday i popped in to a dealership to get a rear wiper blade and got speaking to a salesman who was doing his normal sales sepak ...hi like your car have you concidered px against a new one ....... i told him i had one on order and fair play to him he went on about if the dealer had offered compensation,

this is where i cant remmeber but think he said £150 18 weeks and £300 24 weeks plus but dealer i bought car from has said 20 + only

anyone know .....

The dealers are all franchises so compensation will vary from dealer to dealer, some offering nothing and others perhaps offering some payment, or free service, or maybe just the use of a loan car as a stop gap between the scheduled and actual date.

Mine was just under 16 weeks from order.

I got a free mdi lead from the dealer, but for the rest I am going to skoda direct.

Having done about 3k miles last month I am going to work out the extra cost of fuel against my old car, plus extras like oil that I had to buy.

I am going to ask skoda for atleast a free service.

Skoda UK confirmed to me that there was compensation for delays over 16 weeks, but we did not go into detail. My VRS was ordered week 23 and latest build date is week 44 + 3 weeks transit = 24 weeks less 3 week shutdown = 21 week delay.

I will update when I know more

Where in Herts are you?

Build date now week 45 , so 22 week delay!

Isn't only a 6 week delay?

How much compensation is being talked about.

Ordered last week in July and told first week in December. That is more than 16 weeks counting on my fingers and toes.

Someone said things brought forward by 2 weeks and that petrols were coming quicker than diesels. Dealer has weekly update sheet if you can ask to see it.
