Collected car [FABIA 1.2 TSI 85BHP SE] from dealer monday 6 september.

First impressions it is very quick for engine size,also found it very comfortable and great fun to drive that an 18 mile trip home[bEDFORD- NORTHAMPTON] was over 50 miles[got a bit carried away].

Compared to my OCTIVA MK1 TDI 1.9 i will give it 9/10 but hope to go Lincolnshire east coast weekend to give it a good run and compare.

Dealer was spot on for delivery dates,ordered mid june and was told it would be ready for 1st sep ,dealer was PROGRESS in Bedford and salesman Peter was very helpfull. Will keep you informed on my impressions over the next few months,also when it stops raining will take some pictures.

Congrats on the newbie...lovely cars I`m sure you`ll have lots of fun with it...I do mine. Just a point though try running it on 99 Ron fuel, it does make it go much better. Have fun

No. The new Shell stuff (Fuel Save) I think is still 95 Octane. V-power petrol is 99 Octane. However I read on a thread on SCN that Fuel save Diesel has a higher Cetane no to VPD.

Tesco do 99 octane (or used to), I'm not sure what BP Ultimate is. I believe the new TSI engines should be run on Super Unleaded (97+), not normal 95 stuff. Check your Owners manual or Fuel Cap to confirm.
