id like to know this myself!

I posted the details (word for word) a short while ago from the owners manual. This method only works for fixed servicing, for cars on variable then you will need a tool of some form (or a tame dealer/RAC/AA man)

1) With Ignition off hold the trip switch in, turn the car on.

2) Keep it held in, rotate the time/hours switch to the right and you will see it dissapear.

You can download the handbook for the Tour (i.e. Octavia 1) from the pinned thread above. The information you want is on page 18 and 19 of the 2010 version.
