Engine covers

Featured Replies

On my 54 plate vRS mine doesnt have an engine cover like some ive seen, i do have a strut brace fitted though so wondered if the previous owner took the engine cover off to allow the brace to fit? Or is it just a case that some reg's didnt have them?

cheers

Just using this pic as an example:

All cars would originally have had them but they do vary in appearance though and hence might also vary in fixing.

My 2007 car has a cheaper all black Skoda badge on it compared to the full colour version on the earlier car shown in the Pistonheads photo (which can be detected as earlier owing to the full battery cover - much nicer than the later cars).

This may have coincided with the engine change in 2005/6 (not sure exactly when that occurred)
