WOT BOX

Featured Replies

Has anyone fitted a wot box to there 1.8t on here.Seen them on the web (mainly in the US) but they seem to work well and sound a bit like anti lag :giggle:

Wouldn't that send unburnt fuel through the cat? :wonder:

I thought the lag on a K03s was minimal, due to its size?

how much for the WOT?

It would only be for fun and to annoy boy racers :giggle: PSI are selling them for £199 i think.I cant afford full on anti lag so its the next best thing and enables flat out gear changes but as you say the lag on a ko3s is minimal and i should really get the car running right first :wonder:

And yes it would send unburnt fuel into the cat....an excuse to remove it then

Anti-lag is a bad idea anyway. Anything that sends unburnt fuel through the cylinders and burns it in the manifold or downpipe will overspool the turbo and f*ck it pretty quickly. It's ok for rally teams as they have £££££s to spend on turbos!

+1 been looking at these for a while but wouldn't have a clue how to wire it in. Gizzmo do a package with a shift light too

They look like fun.

Might give one a go, although I think I'll be wiring in an on/off switch for it.

The folks on SeatCupra.net mention the extra wear it puts on your car.

Does anyone know what WOT stands for ?

They don't actually mention what WOT mean on the website

At a guess i would say it means "Wide open Throttle"...

As the accelerator is not depressed whilst changing through the gears...

At a guess i would say it means "Wide open Throttle"...

Agree. That's what it means in the world of boat engines anyway.

yes it means wide open throttle

nah, think I'll give that a miss.

Meth do, hmmmm! lol

yup wmi is the one i really want, need to find out a bit more about the long term effects of dumping fuel in the manifold and the extra combustion that occurs in the head with anti lag, to be honest as far as i can see i have found as many people for either side of the argument saying it does do damage and that it doesnt......

water meth tho.....now thats another story....its all gooooooooooooood
