leaking headlamps *help*

Featured Replies

hi all, my dad has an octy vrs, i posted on here not too long ago about the same issue, basically the front lights and dripping with condensation, and theres water lining the bottom of them, its really bad, since the last post its been back to skoda and the headlamps were replace under warranty, not two days after the new ones had been fitted the exact same problem has occured and this time skoda wont stand over it. theres so much water that driving with the lights on wont get rid of it, has anyone experiened this probem? is there any way of disasembling the unit, drying it out then sealing it again with silicon around the edges?

all ideas and opinions greatly appreciated, many thanks, jordan :)

Take it back and kick up a stink.

If they were replaced under warranty and then 2 days later they leaked again, then the fault is still outstanding as the new lights did not resolve it.

Damn right, the water must be ingressing from elsewhere, must not be caused by condensation. The dealer cannot just say NO as it appears to be a continueing fault.
