This month I bought a 2006 Skoda Octavia II, that came with a Stream (non-MP3) headunit. I am looking to replace it by a Skoda Stream MP3 or (preferably) Audience unit.

On my search I found that these units are (almost) equal to VW RCD 300 and 500. I also found several used RCD-510 units for sale, that can be reprogrammed with Skoda logo. Now this seems a decent upgrade! My questions:

- Will this fit instantly with the standard (Stream) surrounding bezel? (or do I need a Columbus bezel?)

- Will this headunit display input from PDC, aircon and such?

Second edit, after another hour of Google-ing... As I understand it now, the VW RCD-510 is similar to the Bolero. It will fit if I buy said Columbus bezel, but it will drain my car battery, so I will also have to upgrade the CAN gateway and have it reprogrammed by someone with VAGcom else it wont display PDC info.

Right?
