vRS rear anti roll bar

Featured Replies

yes the r32 front stuff def fits, not sure what tom has, would be interesting to see as i think he may have eibach stuff. Standard golf stuff is a different design as the arb does not mount to the strut like the r32 lcr tt and vrs stuff. It does fit a non vrs octavia however as they have the same design. Think golf anniversay may be the exception as have a funny feeling they fitter the better setup to these.

TT front will fit (same as r32 parts) but the rear will not be enough or will not fit.

If you are doing it cheap do tt/r32 front arb and fit a whiteline rear, if you have a bit more cash imo the eibach/neuspeed 25mm or 28mm are a better option in terms of handling.

Dont fit 23mm front and whiteline 22mm, as there is not enough difference in the thickness.

what vag rear arbs fit as standard to a vrs? i mean genuine ones from vw group? is it just the r32 or are there other ones out there that will fit?

don't want aftermarket

none that will be an upgrade as most vag cars non vrs/lcr/tt/s3 (fast models) have an internal bar fitted which would not be an upgrade as you have that.

as said already the r32 REAR is for a 4x4 so will not fit.

Perhaps the lcr (as its not 4x4) may have a thicker internal rear arb, however like us, most cupra r owners upgrade to the thicker bars, which indicates to me they are not enough to stop understeer.

why dont you want aftermarket?

hi oet, thanks for reply, pretty sure i don't want to start replacing the internal rarb!

was just wanting to keep factory look that is all.

Keep factory look?

When do people get on their knees and have a look at your car's underside?

Ha ha..................

each to their own mate

lol

On a serious note, you could paint it black very quickly or have it powdercoated so you wouldnt notice it.

Sorry, I think I may have caused some confusion here!

I've got the stock front ARB setup, Weitec coilovers and now the whiteline rear ARB

I can't really advise on the front ARB stuff because I've not played with it (yet!)

no worries was just answering some additional questions, so you have stock octavia front arb, and the whiteline rear arb, guess you meant the golf rear whiteline arb fits.

You can see the red of my rear arb through the rear wheel I was thinking of powder coating mine black to blend in. I do prefer the oem look.

Maybe a stupid question, but couldn't find it: what is the standard diameter of the VRS front ARB?

And another one: is suspension of the 210 bhp Anniversary Golf GTI different than the 150/180 bhp Golf GTI? As they normally refer to execept Cupra R and VRS is some partlists...

I believe it's 17mm but has plastic sleeves on so requires 19mm bushes.

Not sure about the Golf anni. I thought they were 180bhp though?
