MOT advisory

Featured Replies

So........the fabia passed its mot emoticon-0140-rofl.gif , however it was brought to my attention that both front wishbone bushes were split. Was wondering how easy is this to do your self?

Also was mentioned that there is a slight oil leak from intercooler pipe. I assume this is some oil residue that most fabia vrs' seem to get due to wear on the connections........haven't had a chance to take a look myself yet, but any suggestions as to a fix would be helpful.

Unless you love aggravation, the wishbone bush job if best left to someone who has done a few. You can fit the new improved Skoda bush (it's from the Octavia 2) or the Cupra bush. Job takes 2 hours at a dealer.

Do u know the part number for the octavia bush? Also I'm looking at lowering the car slightly, would it be worth getting this done the same time to save on labour costs? Not sure what's involved you see.

A misting of oil can often build up in places where

pipework is jointed. The clips aren't great you see...

As long as it's not loads then you should be fine.

Fairly common VAG trait.
