DSG gearbox in tiptronic

Featured Replies

Hi,

I've heard different opinions on this so I'd like to hear what you think.

When driving a dsg in tiptronic mode do you need to release the accelerator when shifting or not?

thanks,

krko

No you don't

no.. floor it and enjoy it... LOL

nope!

No. Keep it nailed!

Brilliant gearbox the DSG.

Drove an AM V8 with paddles at Thruxton recently - great car, rubbish 'box when compared to the DSG.

It wont let you do anything stupid anyway. You are only given the sensation that you are in control whilst really its the gearbox that is running your life for you . . . .

aye its only slight control it will still shift up and down if you do not change.

Just keep the pedal down and flick up...........................you do make rather rapid progress!
