Hey guys,

So, I've got a split in my breather hose (common problem, I know). Now, I'm aware that Awesome do a silicone breather hose kit but at the moment I only need the Y shaped one. Was wondering if anyone's tried it (or any other viper performance stuff) and if so would they rate it/them. Seems a fair bit cheaper than the awesome version... Wondering if cheaper means significantly worse...

So, any ideas chaps?

Also, just wondering if you know how the split in the hose would affect fuel consumption, only got the car recently so I'm assuming this would account for my low mpg... Nothing to do with my driving style of course...

Had a couple of Viper pipes on my last car not to bad a quality. Try fleabay also usually loads on there

There all much of a muchness, just a case of case of finding one at the right price including postage.

fit a catch tank

Tempting, westallc, very tempting. I've read up on catchcans and understand why they make sense but although the silicone hoses should last longer than the stock ones, I'm also looking at getting an ebay special because it's significantly cheaper than the VAG part. Not really got the money to get a catch can at the mo' either but will keep an eye out for the next group buy and may get involved...

Those are very good quality and i had that same pipe fitted to my motor prior to the catch can. They are much stronger than the stock pipe and would last a hell of a lot longer.

You may need to trim back 20mm as i did on mine to fit better
