Fabias with "unavailable options" ?

Featured Replies

Colin, thanks very much taking the trouble of going over to take some snaps. Does look rather nice. I may get that done, but agree with Geoff regarding the most economical way is doing the mods yourself one you have the car.

Having said that, it is black and does have xenons ;)

Nah, it's too much. Must resist and find a closer / cheaper one and get the seats done myself later if I deem that worthwhile.

But also, it does annoy me. Thanks to your photo, you can physically see the car has xenons. It really gets on my nerves when they fail to mention a

Give them a call. In my experience, the sales team at St Andrews Skoda (in Glasgow BTW) are a top bunch of guys

I could do once I know exactly what's happening with the ins co. Still no answer

Still even if they're very good in the servicing dept, unfortunately, that's of no value to me. Somehow, I don't think I could justify a 600 mile round trip for a service :(

However, if on the sales side they'll stick it on the back of a trailer and bring it down sarf of da river......

Can't imagine that'd be a problem for them. I bought an Octy and a Superb from them a few months back and they shipped the Superb from a dealer in London as it was quicker than waiting on one from the factory.

They're a helpful bunch and seem to really know their stuff. Much better than a certain other dealership in the (cough) Hamilton (cough) area....

Why did they take the electric windows off the rears, anyway? Esp for the vRS...?
Usually cost saving. My 2.0 Elegance (2002) has heated front seats. The new models no longer have them, although the VRs does. They were not much use anyway, except to make the front passenger think he/she had pi**ed themselves!

Yeah- Jason came a little bit further when he rolled his! It's a Briskoda tradition - roll your Fabia get a new one from Scotland :D

Actually the dealer ain't that far from Glasgow Airport and he's not in St. Andrews as some people I know think...And they're locals

Is that just on the 2.0l one? I drove a puny 1.4-8v auto Elegance that I think was an '04 and that had them........ :D Thought they were optional on the vRS too.....

Don't see why they would need them at all on the VRS. The way some of them seem to drive, I would have thought the passenger's rear ends would be self-heating!

Have they stopped doing heated seats in the Fabia Elegance then? I thought (in the UK anyway) they were still standard (and optional on vRS)??

Sorry. Misread the brochure!

However, one thing confused me. My dealer told me today that the latest ones have parking sensors but, when I check the brochure, it is standard on all vehicles before week 52, December 2004.

I asked about other colours for the VRS but he said absolutely no chance. I'd like a dark blue metallic (like my Elegance) without the VRS badges.
