Numberplate lights stay on

Featured Replies

My numberplate lights stay on all the time. I have disconnected the battery - nothing, removed the fuse (number 36 on the panel 5amp) - the lights stayed on! I turned the lights on and off - still stayed on.

The car had a new battery installed last night.

Help!

Using LED bulbs?

All sorted! Started removing the fuses one by one and noticed the lights went out when the one for the radio was removed. Then the penny dropped - when I installed the headunit, inadvertently I connected the illumination wire to the battery 12v wire. As everything worked didn't think anything of it.

Explains the dead battery as well! :giggle:
