Not kept up with the computer world and it is now time to think about a new one:wonder: ...so what chip is good at the moment AMD or intel how much memory should I be looking for that sort of thing.....will be getting the PC from Novatech so I just want to know what to look for

Build your own there is one site that you buy parts they build it, you get such better value for money I can get a 1000 plus p.c for about 600 if you buy the parts try overclockers or buyer they are good sites with pre built machines, I can not express how much of a bad idea it is to buy computer paRts or computers of eBay my personal opinion though.

I always build my own, I don't personally find it cheaper but they are easier to fix.

The good thing is that a self built machine can last for years....

The last one I built was nearly 7 years ago and it's still going strong. I can't get an excuse to get a new one.
