being an idiot

Featured Replies

I might be being a total div but cannot get my front fog lights to come on. i have done what it says in the book about pulling the headlight switch out but nothing happens. am i being stupid or is this another fault for the dealer to fix tommorow?

thx in adv for any ideas.

Check fuse before going to dealer, fuse number 65, also both bulbs it's not unknown for them to die at once.

i) You have tried this with the other lights ON, yeah?

ii) 1st pull is rear fog, 2nd pull is front fog.

iii) Even if the blubs have blown, you should still get the "lights on" symbols on the dash for rear, then front fog(s).

OK, two of you have pulled me on that so I accept I'm wrong without bolting downstairs and out the door to check.

I has been a while since I used them.

I thought you couldn't put the fog lights on unless you had the lights on if you try and just pull the knob out it twists onto lights on?!

Yep. Turn on side or headlights on first, then pull the switch. once for fronts then pull fully for both front and rear. You need the ignition (or engine) on before you can do both (just been out and checked).

If not check 15A fuse no 65, see Fuse Panel Layout RHD.

I've always thought it a little daft that it's not possible to turn JUST the rear fogs on, but it IS possible to turn just the front fogs on.
