Must Have Mods. of the '60's

Featured Replies

I can remember my dads Mk1 Cortina having a Tiger Tail hanging out of the fuel filler. Was in response to Esso's advertising campaign, "Put a Tiger in your tank"

The old boys(Sorry Middle Aged) I'm sure will come up with some more.

Mine would have to be Black and White chequered sticky tape !!...over the bonnet !

I used to mentally spec it with every car I longed after while poring over "Motor Sport" mag !

(Hardly a mispent youth was it !! ) :giggle:

Furry Dice, and yes I still have a pair hanging in the garage

Don't forget the nodding dog on the back shelf -ages before Churchill insurance. I remember my Dad thinking our 1963 Cresta was posh because it had a clock! How times have changed.

I'm afraid these had to be bought - from the same sort of shop that sold black-and-white chequered sticky tape :D

Now , what car is that? .... :p

Seat covers, any colour you like, and a steering wheel cover to match :)

My old man bought a new Volvo about 30 years ago, remember some sort of reflective chequered tape

that came with it to stick around the (massive) bumpers, can vividly remember trying to help fit them.
