fabia front console bushes price ?

Featured Replies

What would you say was a fair price for them doing ,the main dealer is £187 would that include geometry check do you think?

also would this account for my terrible front tyre wear ,its an sdi so wheel spiin in snow only, but nsf wears badly on both sides .

also have the bushes improved i.e gone solid!

cheers

Yes to all questions really

Not sure if wheel alignment is Inc but it should be.

I recently paid £150 to my indy to supply and fit the upgraded

4 web bushes plus 30 quid elsewhere for laser alignment

and adjustment so I'd say thats not bad at all.

However, do make sure they don't try and palm you off with the older

2 web bushes which deteriorate quicker and offer a softer ride.

I noticed a huge difference between worn 2webs and

new 4 webs on mine, had to do them as they were advisory

items on the last MOT.

I may be wrong here but I think I've read Mark 2 octy bushes fit

and they are 4 web also.

cheers chaps , the bushes were pointed out to me when they did cambelt/waterpump yesterday (£310) they seem to like to haggle a bit as well so i may squeeze a lttle lower ,i also have a pair of consoles in my garage from a warranty claim ,they replaced the full consoles, may come in one day either for me or another briskoda user

Thats a perfectly fair price, we do it for £160 inc alignment using the ibiza cupra bushes

The 187 will probably not include allignment. It wasn't covered under my warranty claim - and I think a few places try to fob you off by saying it's not necessary.

You're unlikely to get it much cheaper from a dealer than 180.
