Anyone fitted golf mk4 seats

Featured Replies

The lumbar and springs is broken on my drivers seat, and I have heard Golf and Audi a3 seats might fit. Has anyone had any experience? Do they just screw straight in? I did try to fix my seat, but it seems more than just the cable being broken.

Yes MK4 Golf and MKI A3 seats fit straight in.

So do Bora ones as well as mk1 Leon's.

Are the rear seats the same size too?

I have a Bora interior in my car (estate) and it fits perfectly.

Yes

Not quite! I have a set of five door post facelift (2000-1) GT TDi seats in mine and the side bolsters are a slightly different shape to the Elegance ones that I took out, it is literally about an inch smaller so you see a bit more metal down the side of the rear seat but all the fittings etc are a perfect match. Just need to be aware that they are not identical to look at. You also need to make sure you get the right type of rear seatbelt arrangement as well.

Its also better to get post 2000 ones as they have the lumbar adjustment. Some of the Bora ones are the same shape as the GT TDi ones but in leather as well :D

Full Leather ones will be from the Highline model like mine, very nice sports seats that are heated with height and lumbar adjustment......nice

fitted some gti front seats into my octy - only minor gremlin was that the airbag connector was slightly different - got one to make it fit from hte local dealers - 2 mins to swap the connectors and then 2 bolts to attach the seat to the chassis.

I was advised to disconnect the battery so that there wouldn't be an airbag fault logged. No probs when I did it, don't know if this is a real concern or not though...

s3 seats in mine, perfect fit.

All golf will fit, just rears can be slightly different as another member stated previously.

As oet says, S3 leather seats fit fine, and for me (6'1") were a marked improvement over the oem seats.

And it just so happens I've got a set that i'll be putting in the for sale section once I get round to it..........
