KUMHO KU31 http://www.1010tires...+SPT+%28KU31%29

FALKEN FK452 http://www.1010tires...iremodel=FK-452

i keep getting my eyes pulled to the design of the kumho :giggle:

I had these fitted to my old CLK on 18's and they are very good for the money. Nice balanced grip in the wet and dry. My only gripe was the rim protector was not a thick as some other tyres so you need to watch those kerbs!

so 1 for the kumhos then

i'll be running a lil stretch too so will be avoiding kerbs like the plague lol :punch:

did you have any issues when driving it hard mate?

Another vote for the Kumho's.

Great tyre for the money (I've run a full set of 4 in the past).

I find the Avon ZV5's offer more grip, but they do cost more.

2-0 for the funky ku31s then :giggle:

215/35/19s are limited .......... again i picked a fun size

if all fails i love the p zero nero but im trying to use more wallet friendly tyres lol :smirk: this time ;)

for now :)

I've got Falken 452's all round, & they're really good, but not much in the way of rim protection. Had the Khumo's on a Honda Prelude 2.2 Motegi & was impressed with them too.

Had Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta's on my last couple of cars, & they were superb. Worth the extra ££'s IMO.

Got KU-31 on my rs4 and got the 712 kumho on the super legs. Personally i prefer the cheaper 712 which held up pretty well at castle coombe too.

The 712 and the 31 are now obsolete so check where you order them from has them in stock and not getting them in so to speak.

ah i see :smirk: i was wondering that, protyre got loads on back order, and theres a different patterned ku31 on ebay , it was the funky little logo down the center that was winning me over, so if they are stopping them it looks like the the 452 :giggle: i cant be having odd tyres lol drat i sooo like that little loge :giggle:

I put on two new falken fk 452 on my fronts the other day, 205/50/17. £135 inc del from camskill. So far, so good. Nice grip and not too noisy either.

I don't know where people have got the idea that they are stopping them!

I bought 2 of them in 2007, and 2 again in 2009. Always been the same tread, with Ecsta logo in the centre. Still is the same tread today.

No hints towards a new design....

I certainly wouldn't let a rumour put me off a tyre.

This is very true lee :)

If the falkens can keep you and the hedge apart they must do more than the job

Hmmm and your also running the stretch :D

+1

I've got a set of 452's sat @ work waiting to be fitted on Saturday. I've experienced the Falkens on a couple of previous cars and they are very good, soft compound compared to a Pzero for example.

Again had the Kumho's on a previous VAG car and hated them in all honesty, average on all counts but especially poor in terms of road noise/tyre roar - swapped to a different brand and it was like being in a different car, very quiet.

Its not an idea its a fact. Fact that comes direct from Kumho themselves to one of their biggest purchasers in the UK that happens to be my best mate.

Sure they will have some stock left but will not be supplying any re-sellers at all.

Some re-sellers will have stock obviously but those that don't have them physically sat on the shelves will get a shock when they try to order them in for customers.
