Superb on the dyno

Featured Replies

Put my Superb in the dyno today its a CR 170 i really wanted to compare the power to my VRS PD170 Octavia which feels so much stronger in comparison

Slight issues with doing a dyno run as the car stops power so you need to pull the ESP/ABS fuse inside the cabin and we also had a fault code afterwards that we needed to clear

Both cars were run on the same dyno with corrections for temperature

Octavia

HP 198.9@4242

Torque 283.6@3179

Superb

HP 200.0@4276

Torque 268.4@3224

The crucial thing though is at lower rpm the Octavia is making a LOT more torque ie around 50ft lbs more at 2500 rpm this is why the PD feels so much stronger but the CR is a lot smoother in its power delivery

Interesting though

I take it the torque figures are in lb/ft?

Edit: Of course it is, must read post properly first.
