Another CV joint! and a bloomin grinding noise from rear driver side wheel

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Another CV joint need replacing. Just had the other one done a few weeks ago. I have also developed a grinding noise on the rear driver side wheel...

Feckin car is costing more to maintain than the Astra my missus used to own..

Whats your mileage? and it depends on how its been looked after before yourself driving style has a big impact on wear items.

The CV Joint would need replacing sooner or later?

Grinding noise from rear driver side wheel could be the brakes need looking at or replacing grinding is usually when the pads are worn so low they scrape on the disc..

No matter what car you buy it will eventually need the wear and tear items replacing at some point so dont worry about it too much.

Has the boot split or lost grease?

Probably only changed a handfull of CV joints on Skodas over the years, not normally prone for failure but boots are.
