Really thats a LCR splitter? Looks different to me, but I'm on my netbook with a small screen.

Fairly sure it is. I'll have another look tomorrow though.

Tbh I dont think it is an LCR splitter, looks more like a Laguna splitter to me, it has the vent type holes.

May well be the case, I didn't look that closely, just assumed, no doubt someone in the know will confirm either way.

I'll be going for anoother look tomorrow Brian so you never know, might bump intae you.

I'm just in from the boozer - if you're going after 1pm (need some time to sober up  ) feel free to PM me and I'll bring mine along so you can make a comparison.

Thats really kind of you mate, I'll probs be heading over in the PM so I'll drop you a PM, no bother if you can't be arsed though.

If you do a cheapo HPI check it;ll tell you how many owners as well as the other important stuff, they only cost around £15.

check this

vRS

TBH mate it looks aweful! FMIC not plumbed in and its not selling, i wonder why!

Some MongTard has owned it

What wheels are those? I really like them.

Jase, you may well be right, as I mentioned I'm aware there are a lot of question marks but I'm going to have a look at the newly arrived log book to see how many owners and do an HPI check. Provided the basic mechanical issues are ok and the price is low enough I'm not bothered if it has been owned by a ****. I'd be looking at it as an ongoing project. My only interest is if it will be extremely cheap. The sticker price on the car is £4500 so that won't have helped it sell. Again, thanks for the advice, I'm aware this would be a risk to buy and I'll not be parting with any cash unless I'm happy that its a well calculated risk.

Rik, will check what wheels are for you when I pop down.

Rik, the wheels are Intra 17" just says made in germany on the centre caps, can't find out much about them though they look a bit like some merc 7 spokes I've seen.

Anyway, went along again today - thanks to Brian for popping along and taking me round the block in his VRS so I have an idea how everything should sound inside the car I'm looking at. The car has had 3 owners and the dealer ran an HPI which came up with nothing. Managed to get the name of the previous owner and the garage he is a mechanic in so I'll give them a ring and see what he says. If he is able to confirm what servicing has been done and any details about the remap which may or may not have been done as well as what parts have been fitted and when then at least I'll be able to forget it or possibly put in a really low offer ;) I suspect I'll just end up leaving it and trying to find something with a more definite history. If you see anything feel free to let me know.

Oh, and I think the splitter is from a laguna after a closer look.

That advert on pistonheads is legendary!!!

My favourite contradiction is..........interior is mint with few burns............ :giggle: :giggle: :giggle:

Aye the ad was written by the valeter at the place and I suspect marketing is not his forte ;)

In fairness the interior is actually pretty good apart from a few burns in the drivers seat, though that sentence is a belter.

TBH as has been said before burnt seats do not effect the mechanical workings of any car. It just begs the question of if you are the owner and you haven't bothered about the interior then surely you haven't bothered about the engine and mechanical up keep!!!!

Seriously, I wouldn't like you to get done over on this one fella. I mean it could be absolutely fine but just be very, very cautious!

Thinks it looks pretty neat. Love the wheels and the stance.

Sorry for hijacking your thread. Brian, is yours the vrs that parks on the one way street at ClydeUnion?

Aye, that's mine - is yours the 06/56 (?) silver one?

Edited to add: just found your post about yours having the leather interior so assume it must be  .
