Hi all

Just after some advice regarding the noise level of my engine. When i start it up the engine seems very loud and like a metallic sound coming from the the intake manifold is this normal as the car is fine and there is no lack in performance. I only noticed it when i checked the oil level the level is fine and the car is not using excess oil. The engine code is CCZA which is a 2.0 TSI 197BHP. Should i be concerned or is it common on these engines.

tbh... I don't like the sound the engine makes when cold, it does seem a bit diesely on tickover and in first!

Ours is fine, usual tinny sound but that's the HP fuel rail, if you have doubts take it back to the dealer........

Cheers for the advice the car is going back on friday for work on the rear wiper so i'll ask them to take a look. A local skoda mechanic said about the noise so hopefully nothing to worry about.

+1 but there is nothing wrong with the engine

It could be the fuel pump cam follower.....

It could be the fuel pump cam follower.....

I doubt it, he says he has a TSI Vrs FL, the TSI uses a totally different fuel pump set up that does not suffer with cam lobe wear as does the TFSI!

As i said before, if worried or concerned take it back to the delear, but my guess is there is no problem.....

Happy motoring....... :)

Just noisy injectors innit.
