Skoda Octavia (Hatch) roof bars

Featured Replies

Can anyone recommend a brand of roof bars for a 2010 Octavia hatch VRS that fit well? Have had Thule bars before, but will need to buy new ones as they were for a car with rails.

Any advice appreciated.

Surely you will not need new roof bars only a new 'foot pack' on which to mount your existing roof bars?

I have thule bars that are non-aero (square bars) which can be very noisy at speed. I have read somewhere that Thule bars / footings didnt fit that well to Octavia hatches '09 onwards, so will prob get official Skoda ones or thule (with new aero bars)

thanks

Thule Aeros are great - have them on mine and no noise at speed - went to the lakes in July with them :

Ebay bargain - got the bars off ebay for a mk5 golf for £50 and then £22 for a new foot pack for the octavia. Fit perfectly.

Got mine from Skoda. Good quality, look good and make very little noise at speed. I have used them to lug sofas, bikes and a roof box around so IMO worth their weight in gold. Dont know how much they cost as I got them as part of the deal when I bought my vRS. It pays to haggle!
