Revo Remap

Featured Replies

Ok guys my car is going in for a trial revo remap next week, i know rempas have been covered to death on this forum but i was just wondering if anyone has the revo map? i know there are lots available but i have read good things about revo, what gains do you get from the revo map regards to power and torque will i notice a major difference from standard? Also any one ever had any problems with a revo map? like blow turbos engine management light etc etc.

Hi mate, my new vRS has got a Stage 1 REVO remap, and even tho the N75 valve is knackered it feels much quicker than my old ex police vRS, you will definately notice a massive difference, they do tend to be quite aggressive from what I've heard tho, especially if someone has access to the REVO tool and ****es about with the settings (like someone had done on mine before I bought it)

My car made 210 bhp and 236lb/ft with a knackered N75 valve and loss of some boost at high rpm (car has a cat back blueflame and jabba intake, and piper cams)

210bhp is the usual quoted figure with 230lb/ft of torque from a good stage 1 map. Another alternative is R-Tech in leicester, I've never read a bad report about them and I can say from my visit there last week, they really know what they're doing and talking about, and their own maps are more linear than the REVO from what I understand making it a lot more drivable and less laggy. If I was spending my own money I'd take mine to R-Tech, they even do REVO maps themselves now if you're decided on having one, their customer service and knowledge is excellent, can't recommend them highly enough mate.

HTH a bit!

Thanks for the information mate, yeah i read somewhere about those boys in leicester i am good 400 hundred miles away in inverness scotland so a bit far to travel, i found a guy up here though that is a revo client so it would be the stage 1 i would be getting it, ill see how i get on with the trial map i know ill love it tho  ,

You wont believe the difference it just totally transforms the car. Hope you've got the money to buy it, as you're gonna hate it when the trial runs out

I've had Revo Stage 1 in 3 Golf mkiv's without any issues at all.

Bit far then for you lol

It's a massive difference, as said, make sure you got the money to get it done, you'll hate it being back to standard!

I have useable power through the rev range with my REVO map.

I had first had a REVO stage 1 that was very good that gave around 210BHP and 230 Torque.

I then got more mods and upgraded to REVO 2 map as the upgrade is only £50 more, with JKM RR'd with 225BHP and 261lbs Torque.

I had it customed to the mods I got. Very happy.

Feels very agressive and holding 18PSI of boost so not reaching the limit

It is like night and day and you won't want to go back to std i can asure you

Has anyone ever had the dreaded 17705 fault code after getting a revo remap? i know some problems can occour with custom code remaps, i am just paranoid about getting a remap and end up having to spent hundreds of pounds on fixing parts.

I have a Revo stage 1, I had to replace a couple of coils within 2 weeks of having it, but it's been A1 since then.

I had the 17705 code on a Custom Code mapped mkiv Golf Anniversary, which I couldn't get to the bottom of. In desperation I had the Revo trial loaded in & no 17705 code. Got Revo stage 1 & never saw the code again.
