Kinetic motorsport exhaust manifold

Featured Replies

same as the o34 motorsport one same manufacture

i can tell you now 100% this will crack they are complete rubbish

i had 2 both cracked with 500miles

check out seatcupra.net i think just about everyone fitted to a uk car failed very quickly and showed next to no gain over a ported standard mannifold

have fun with it lol

this must be the ina one then clive, so its a 034 prouced item.

From what i hear, a lot of trouble and a complete **** to fit, even with a custom made modified spanner they are still near impossible to get right.

iirc some issue with the flange to block mounting plate...shame as they are a good price

Completely agree

First one cracked, and I drive my car at www.grobnik.hr

track near my town. But first one was from THS performance

I took this one from 034motorsport baceuse of limited budget at that time-they stated:

"We made this manifold for you, using high temp rated, high nickel content cast iron, this manifold is a direct fit for OE turbo installation, which 50% larger runners for significant improvements in flow."

http://www.034motorsport.com/engine-components-18t-exhaust-manifold-high-flow-stock-fit-18t-p-784.html

But in the future (near one) going for

JBS autodesign one that will be ceramic coated as my 3" downpipše race modular from 452DD is. Comming this week-DP.

When mounting first one almost impossible on the car and second one was mounted on to the enigne while being taken out from the car.

Edited by davojuri

looks very similar doesnt it.

the Jbs design ones seem to be really good bits of kit, especially the coated ones, have still seen a crack in one of their stainless equal length manis tho.

guess thats what happens when you start to run high power and inevitable high temps

Edited by Oet

got a jbs one here im still yet to fit, read into them a hell of a lot and the early ones had issues but that was resolved with a revided version.

jbs is the only high flow mannifold that seems to fit the bill and has and is working well

the other option is to port the standard one this has shown the same flow rates as any high flow on the market

good luck buddy

Looks the same but difference might be in the nickel content cast iron

Had one and it cracked -bad product

Thought that this one from 034motorsport will be better one, but guys told me here that it's the same bull s..t

Is that the same as these?

removed my 034 exhaust mani for eramic coating (found great company in Slovenia near me ISKRA AET TOLMIN-DOUBLE LAYER OUTSIDE AND DOUBLE LAYER INSIDE COATING FOR 150 EUR!!!!!!) and what a surpriseemoticon-0105-wink.gif

it was cracked inside of one hole for turbo bolt!!!-had it for only 2-3000km

same as last time but on outside of it.

Than I checked the flange and it was not even labeled, has 3-5mm difference from side to side and ist not horisontal.

Can't tell if it is from the thermal expansion or bad production, but complete s..t.

Also spaces for tightening the nuts on upper 3-4 bolts are made wrong - to lateral so you cant put key on them to lossen them it was nightmare.

So good news is

I BOUGHT BEST ONE-

JBS Cast 1.8t K03 OEM Upgrade

http://www.jbsautode...k03-oem-upgrade

It's on its way already hehehe

CAN'T WAIT TO FIT IT TOGETHER WITH LARGE PORT POLISHED INLET AND TO SE DYNO CHARTS BEFORE AND CORRECTING THE MAP FOR NEWLY MOUNTED 225HP EGTPROBE.

Bad news, but good news then!

You need to write a full project report for your car, because it's one of the more interesting projects about at the moment.

Some detailed pictures and specs for your engine would be interesting when you're finished.

I bet you don't want to think about how much it has cost you so far!!

I'll do so certanly.

Manifold has arrived in less than 24 hours in Slovenian post-and already shipped to the guy Ambroz Kavs

www.kavsmotorsport.com ONLY 150 EURO FOR DOUBLE LAYER OUTSIDE AND INSIDE COATING OF THE MANIFOLD.

JBS CHARGES 300gbp AND SHIP IT TO ZIROTEC WHO CHARGES ONLY 150GBP-SO JBS IS MAKING PROFIT OF 100% EVEN ON COATING !!!!!!!!!

He will ceramic coat it in double layer outside and also inside

in Iskra AET Tolmin. Until weekend it should be done.

Than putting all together and on dyno www.rsrmotorsport .com

I am wondering how much will I gain from 3" DP and manifold before changin the map and pluging in EGT probe and large port inlet.

Of course that I will share my figures here on net.

Must said that finally car is running the way I wont

Further improwements:

8pot 330mm brake kit probably D2

Recaro profi SPG XL at least one

Weichers roolcage (still not sure)

and many laps on www.grobnik.hr to improve lap timeemoticon-0148-yes.gifemoticon-0148-yes.gifemoticon-0148-yes.gifemoticon-0148-yes.gifemoticon-0148-yes.gif

Steel 25 Cromo 4-most advanced material-strongest and lighter than steel or maybe even aluminium because of thinner walls

I'm 100% interested into that.

Haven't seen any real picture of it.

So please keep me updated-I need at least few real pics before buying it.
