1000 mile review Fabia vRS Mk2

Featured Replies

Great reviews get mine end of November, its rally green black roof and black alloys. Do the latest ones come with black grill and tinted head lights? Will also be sad to see mk1 vrs go 8 years good service, its like a old friend still things move on.

all the new ones have the black grill and tinted lights ;)

and may I suggest from day one, if the circumstances require, drive it like you stole it ;)

Like you Johnti had my Mk1 for 8 years now and picking my Vrs Mk2 Rallye Green Black Roof and dark chrome alloys on Saturday, really excited about my new car but have really grown to love the diesel I really hope the Mk2 lives up to the hype as the Mk1 will take some beating. By the way what a fantastic review, I remember now what my test drive was like way back in August.

Thanks Sharkrider it should match the rest of the car well. I am looking forward to giving it some wellie. Got to be a bit careful got more cameras then we have people in my area also speed bumps like mini mountains.

Yes your right willie5094 the mk1 will take some beating certainly for reliability had no trouble in the 8 years I have had it. If the mk2 matches that I will be very happy

Couple of issues:

The Oil temp on Maxidot refuses to show a temperature...Just a row of dashes

My oil temp display doesn't read anything until the oil temp is over 50°C.

This was an issue with some cars where it needed a trip to the dealers to get it set on the electronic system. Although if you are only doing short journeys the oil temp may not be reaching the temperature at which the electronics will report it.

I get nothing for the first 5 or 6 miles - maybe more if its really cold.
